The three ways people solve this problem

Own a car and employ a driver
Cheapest in theory. In practice it means a vehicle purchase, maintenance, fitness and insurance renewals, a salary, leave, and finding cover when the driver is unwell.
Own a car, hire a driver only
Common in Bangladesh. Removes the recruitment problem but leaves you with the vehicle and everything that comes with it.
Hire the vehicle and driver together
One monthly figure, maintenance and cover included, and no employment relationship to manage. The reason most organisations and returning families choose it.

What a monthly package normally covers

A vehicle assigned for the term, a named driver, routine servicing and upkeep, and replacement cover if the vehicle is off the road or the driver is unavailable.

What sits outside the package varies and should be explicit: fuel is sometimes included and sometimes charged separately; driver overtime beyond the agreed daily hours is normally extra; and travel outside the base city is usually a separate charge unless negotiated in.

Ask for the quote both ways — fuel in, fuel out — so you can compare providers on the same basis.

What drives the price

Vehicle class
A sedan, an MPV, a microbus and an SUV are meaningfully different monthly figures.
Daily hours
An eight-hour weekday pattern and an on-call arrangement including weekends are different products.
Geography
City-only use versus regular intercity travel.
Term length
Longer commitments are normally priced better than a single month.

Arranging it from abroad for family at home

This is one of the most common requests we receive from Britain. An elderly parent needs reliable transport, nobody in the household wants to manage a private driver's salary and leave, and the family member who would organise it lives four thousand miles away.

A monthly arrangement solves it cleanly: you are the account contact, your parents are the passengers, and there is one figure and one number to call. Changes go through you; the day-to-day goes through them.

Corporate long-term hire

For companies and NGOs the logic is the same but the accounting is the point: converting vehicles, drivers, maintenance and cover into a single predictable monthly line, without adding assets or employment liabilities.

It also scales, which matters for project work — one executive car this quarter, four field vehicles the next. See corporate transport.

Questions worth asking any provider

What happens if the car breaks down?
The answer should be replacement cover, not an apology.
What happens if the driver is unwell?
Same. Cover is the provider's problem in a proper arrangement.
What are the daily hours, exactly?
And what is the overtime rate beyond them?
Is fuel in or out?
Both are legitimate. Not knowing which is not.
What notice period applies?
For both sides, in writing.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

How much is monthly car rental with a driver in Bangladesh?

It depends on the vehicle class, the daily working hours and whether the vehicle stays within one city. Market rates vary widely, so ask for a quote against your actual pattern of use rather than relying on a headline figure.

Is it cheaper to employ a driver directly?

On paper, sometimes. In practice it means managing salary, leave, cover, maintenance and vehicle compliance yourself — which is exactly what most people are trying to avoid.

Can I arrange a monthly car for my parents from abroad?

Yes. You act as the account contact for the booking and any changes; your relatives are the passengers. It is one of the most common long-term arrangements we set up.

What happens if the vehicle needs servicing mid-month?

In a proper monthly arrangement, the provider supplies replacement cover. Vehicle downtime should not leave your household or office without transport.
