Terminals and layout
HSIA sits at Kurmitola in the north of Dhaka. International arrivals currently use Terminals 1 and 2, with a separate domestic terminal alongside. A third terminal has been constructed and is expected to open in phases — we confirm the correct arrival point against your specific flight when you book, rather than relying on a fixed instruction that may have changed.
Where we meet you
We agree the exact meeting point in writing before you fly, and send your Sarothi's name, photograph and the vehicle registration to your WhatsApp.
Expect a busy concourse outside arrivals. Several people will approach offering transport — none of them are your driver. Walk to the agreed point and message us if anything is unclear; we would far rather field a message than have you accept a ride from a stranger.
Landing at Dhaka for the first time
Immigration and baggage reclaim can take a while at peak arrival times, particularly when several long-haul flights land together in the early hours. Build that into your expectations, and tell whoever is waiting at the other end not to worry about a two-hour gap between wheels-down and walking out.
An official meet-and-greet assistance service operates at the airport for passengers who want help through immigration and baggage. It is separate from transport, and we can advise on it if you are travelling with someone elderly or unwell.
Straight out of Dhaka rather than into it
A large share of our Dhaka airport work never enters the city. Families landing from the UK frequently go directly to Sylhet, a five-to-seven hour drive up the N2, or south towards Chattogram and the coast.
If that is your plan, say so at booking. It changes the vehicle we recommend, and it is far better to set off in a Executive 4x4 or microbus with room for everyone than to discover the problem with the boot open at the kerb.

Can someone collect me from Dhaka airport if I book from abroad?
Yes. Send us your flight number and arrival date and we confirm the driver, vehicle, meeting point and fixed price in writing before you fly. Payment does not need to happen at the airport.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
We monitor the flight and adjust the driver's arrival. Delay outside your control is not charged as waiting time.
How long does the driver wait after I land?
Sixty minutes after you land, included as standard however late the flight. Beyond that, waiting is charged at a rate agreed in advance, so there is nothing to negotiate at the kerb.
Can I go straight from Dhaka airport to Sylhet?

Is it safe to take an unbooked taxi at Dhaka airport?
Many people do without incident, but you will be approached repeatedly, prices are negotiated on the spot and the vehicle is unknown. Arranging in advance removes all three problems, which is why most arriving families do.
