Sylhet airport to Beanibazar by car

From Osmani the road runs east through Golapganj and on towards Beanibazar and Zakiganj — roughly 55 to 60 km, typically about an hour and a half depending on the final village and the state of the approach roads.

The main road is straightforward. It is the last two or three kilometres that need planning, and that is precisely the part a general taxi arrangement will not have thought about.

Four things: the village name, the union, the nearest bazaar, and a local contact number if you have one. Optionally, a landmark — a mosque, a school, a particular gate.

With those, the driver plans the final approach before setting off. Without them, you are navigating unlit lanes at midnight with a car full of exhausted people, which is not the arrival anyone has in mind.

Not every lane takes a 13-seat Grand Cabin, and some will not take an 11-seat microbus either.

Tell us the address in advance and we will be honest about it: either the vehicle reaches the gate, or we plan a transfer point for the last stretch. Both are fine. Finding out at 1am is not.

Most people arrange the arrival carefully and leave the departure to sort itself out later. It is worth doing both at once, for a practical reason: the return to Osmani has to be timed against a check-in rather than against a landing, and the whole ninety minutes has to hold.

Departure runs from Beanibazar are also more likely to start in daylight from a house full of people saying goodbye, which reliably takes longer than anyone plans for. We build that in rather than pretending the car leaves at the stated minute.

Booking both legs together also means the same driver, who has already found the house once. On an unlit lane at the end of a visit, that is worth more than it sounds.
